Temples, temples, temples...

Since James arrived in Cambodia (yeah!), I've seen more temples than I thought was possible in 4 days (and not done yet...). Some of the highlights have been Beng Melea (completely unrestored temple where you truly got to live out your Tomb Raider fantasies), the Roulous group, Ta Prohm (temples and trees) and a slightly cloudy, but still amazing sunrise over Angkor Wat. Siem Reap also has some great restaurants, a very shoppable night market and several massage places and sunset spots and and and... I can't believe no one told me about this before :-).

We now have two more days before we're off to Laos to see what that's all about. There's a local saying that "in Thailand they sow the rice, in Cambodia they harvest the rice and in Laos they watch the rice grow"... ie it should be a suitable laid back place in which to welcome the new decade.
