Cai Rang floating market

Overnight with a room vetting towards Can Tho's loudest road left both of us slightly weary eyed when it was time to get up at 6am this morning. A 45 min boat ride to the biggest (and thus obviously the best) market in the Mekong Delta solved that problem though. It was fascinating to watch fresh fruits and veggies being tossed between the boats, money changing hands, families living and making a living on the waters, as well as a myriad of boat traffic jams as tourists and locals tried to go about their business side-by-side.

We're now back in Saigon, happy with our adventure, somewhat relieved to be resting our ears from our very talkative guides stories (some VERY interesting, some not so). And now all we need to do is figure out what's on the menu tonight. Tomorrow we're off to the coast for some R&R.
