After 3 hours on the road we finally got to hit one of the many Mekong canals and soon arrived at a lovely old Chinese merchants house now operating as a tourist restaurant. The food was surprisingly amazing and we got to make our own fresh spring rolls with pineapple, star fruit, mint and Elephant ear fish (a beautiful fish). Some of us didn't quite succeed with the original spring roll shape, but the taste was just the same (she assured me).
